About us
We have been servicing the greater Cairns area and beyond since 1980. Known in the early days as B & R Kubach Manufacturing Jewellers, Brian and Rita Kubach started the business in a workroom upstairs in city Arcade, Cairns.
We took over the business in 2004 and re-named the business to ‘Kubach Jewellers’. For more than 30 years, we have mainly done trade work and were the main Jeweller for Kevin Shorey and Co who was a well known and respected jewellry retail shop in Cairns.
Quality and Reliability
After almost 40 years in the business, Kevin Shorey decided to retire at Christmas 2016. So, it was at that time that we decided to move and expand and open a shopfront so that we could deal direct with all Kevin Shorey and Co.’s existing clients and invite new clients to our business.
Our aim is to deliver the best service, quality workmanship and trust that they had come to expect through Kevin. Having a long time qualified bench Jeweller on site, you can be assured of getting the right advice, competitive price and the quickest repair time turnaround.
Services
Our services include all types of jewellry design, cleaning, repairs, re-sizes, restorations and customised makes. We can also repair other valuable items and some of our recent work includes making Life Member badges, repairing silver teapots, gold Lorgnette glasses (antique glasses) and religious relics.
We also do minor watch repairs and battery replacement. We also provide outsourcing of hard to find and unique designed jewellry.
